We have just gotten through one of our toughest holidays in more ways than one. With Valentines Day falling on a Saturday and the state of our economy I don’t think anyone knew what to expect totally. Most of the shop owners I have talked to experienced a 25-30% loss in sales from 2008. Those that I had the chance to talk to about planning this amount of fall off bought accordingly and ended up with little to no inventory and in many cases felt like they were more profitable.
