FRANK ADAMS GOES GREEN
Monday, 16 November 2009 19:25

Most of us recycle at home but may not at work for several reasons. At Frank Adams we made a choice to be more green and are now a proud Certified participant in the City of Portland's "Recycle at work Program". Our goal was to eliminate 1/3 of our land fill rubbish. We have already met and excited our goal, we currently are at a 2/3 reduction and striving to increase that. We challengeall of our customers to join in on this worthy project. Check with the city of Portland for more details or call our Recycling Czar; Scott Isensee he will gladly help you get started.

With the Holidays ahead of us I'm on my CUSTOMER SERVICE soap box. I know our staff probably gets tired of me preaching about it but it's the number one thing in all of our customers minds. Not price but SERVICE that sets us apart from our competitors. Only 4 percent of unhappy customers bother to complain. For every complaint we hear, 24 others go uncommunicated to the company-but not to other potential customers. To make matters worse, each of those unhappy customers will tell his or her story to at least nine other people. Of the customers who register a complaint, between 54 and 70 percent will do business again with the organization if their complaint is resolved. That figure goes up to 95 percent if customer feels that it was resolved quickly. Our success as businesses depends greatly on our employee's and how customers presive our SERVICE. So get on your soap box, we can never over do it and now is a prime time for customer contact.

It's a great time of year to express our sincere Thanks and Gratitude to all of our established customers for your continued loyal support. We would also like to extend a Thank You to all new customers for giving us the opportunity to serve and earn you loyal support. A nation-wide survey conducted in late 2008 rated Wholesale Florists significantly higher in overall satisfaction than farm direct, importers and wire service cut flower sources across all florist sales groups and regions of the U.S. by Retail Florists

What's up at Frank Adams
Friday, 16 October 2009 17:20

It must have been too long since I posted a new listing to the Blog. I have so much information I would like to pass on and report. I'm going to try to do several over the next few weeks, otherwise it would be a short novel. First of all WHAT'S UP AT FRANK ADAMS.

Frank Adams is always looking for those special people that make our company who and what we are. We are making some major personnel changes, most of them were planned but one definitely wasn't. Justin Larson one of our top sales representatives has decided to make a change. Justin is going to work for one of our customers, so we are not totaly losing him. We will miss Justin but wish him well and support his decision.

When one door closes another opens. Robyn Peterka is rejoining the Frank Adams family. Robyn worked with us for 7 years before she took a little 5 year hiatus to further her education in the floral industry by working in the mass market arena. Robyn will start by joining the sales team on October 29th. Some other personnel changes are Jennie Glass is moving from supplies to cutflowers and has been working with Justin to make it a smooth transition for everyone. We have hired Julie Miller to fill Jennies spot (some big shoes to fill ) but we are confident she will succeed. Julie and her husband owned their own lighting company in Akron, Ohio before moving here. After more than 2 years of searching we have finally found the replacement for bookkeeping her name is Heather Gabel .  Heather is a graduate of Devry University, she and her husband Travis moved here from Montana. Brice Bell  also joins our family as a utility / delivery trainee. We are sad to see Justin leave but very excited about the changes and are looking forward to a great future with our new additions.

FRANK ADAMS is joining with the city of Portland to become one of the cities GREEN COMPANIES. Portland is currently the #1 US city in recycling and trying to set an example for other cities much the same as we did with light-rail.   We are putting into place additional recycling programs that should reduce our current refuse going into land fills by 80%. Frank Adams is proud to be part of this undertaking and encourage you to do your part as well.

Keep checking the Blog for more information and updates to follow soon.
